So why do I feel bad about thinking of getting one?

I want an Xbox360
I have the money. The xbox was a good console, this one seems to head to be even better. The launch is allright (even if doesn't have a JRPG which probably means it's OMG TERRIBUL for you fucking fanboys).

you suck more and you are more evil than microsoft because you believe in jesus.Lord Golbez wrote:Microsoft is evil? And yes, no JRPGs does suck, which wouldn't be the case if Americans took a cue from Japanese RPGs instead of making the D&D based trainwrecks they call RPGs over here.
how is that!

fucking fanboys
Yea I fucking want one too. I have the money, but I don't think investing in a system that's 400 bucks is intelligent. The games are okay. I'll probably think about getting it once the price goes down, or once Chinese New Year comes around and I get money, then maybe I'll buy one.
Now it's not worth the 400+ since I don't use Xbox live anyway.

Re: I want an Xbox360
No Oblivion and Enchant Arm on launch
360 is meh. Costs too much, normal kit can't play xbox games (or i'd otherwise consider a 360), the launch line up is meh (Kameo is shit, most of the games are multiconsole, and I'm not a big racer fan).
Atleast the console design and controler are fucking awesome. The controller owns, I'd say it's equel if not better than dual shock 2.
I'll just get a regular xbox for cheapo and then buy a 360 in like 4 years.

Honestly, the hardware does look good but I'm still waiting for totally-exclusive-must-have-games to be released on it before I get this system (and also, I'm waiting for the other next gen systems to be released, in order to be able to compare objectively between them. And I hope the prices will have dropped till then)
I'd have the money, but it would be a waste right now, considering how little time I have to actually play (still haven't finished most of the game I own on the previous gen consoles)
When I say must-have-games, it means it must be something really worth playing, not some generic shit that make you feel like your wasting your time and feels like a chore after a while. Don't have to be a JRPG. Don't have to be old-school. Refreshing original stuff with an immersive atmosphere, like Ico on the PS2, or Eternal Darkness on the Cube, that's what convinced me buying the last gen systems to begin with. Will be the same for next gen. That's why I'm still waiting.

I got the 360 this morning. Most people had to wait in lines for DAYS, and they didn't get jack. Some pre-ordered in June and won't get one till after christmas. But me, I'm neither crazy nor dumb. So I tried to find the best solution
I went to sams at 5 am, got mine at 7 (came with extra controller and charge kit). I am a HAPPY camper.
The Core systems are POS and rip offs. I got the remote, 2 controllers, charge kit, HD, and Headset for $450. Got perfect dark Zero today too.
Yeah its an expensive console at launch, but considering how far ahead in technology it is, it had to be. The video card alone would cost 400 or even more. So would the 3 core 3.2 ghz processors. Its pretty damn cool.
I like how you can access the GUI at any time you want (and always connected to live). You can talk to anyone you want while your playing single player (they could be playing another game). Or even listen to music etc. Downlaod trailers, games, and game demos. Good stuff. Im happy, and the controller is AWESOME. It just feels so good in your hands, high quality.

no, you are wrong.
granted the xbox wasn't a heaven of RPGs, it still had good ones, and some of them before "other systems" got it. and that's besides the point. the ps1 didn't launch with any rpgs other than maybe suiko1 (i dunno tho), and it turned out into a powerhouse.
launch games mean shit. look at the ps2. it turned out fucking awesome even though its launch was pure shit. look at the dc. it had an uber launch, but it died a premature death.

Absolutely no RPG at launch when the PS1 came out in 1995. Suikoden was released in 1996. But FF7 (released in 1997) had been announced quite early though, and was one of the main reasons I got interested in the system.
Mistwalker have already announced at least 2 RPGs for the 360. Of course it's difficult to tell right now if they'll be worth anything. I've also heard rumors (yet to be confirmed) that Squeenix might consider releasing FF games on both the PS3 and 360.
Of course, none can tell whether these Squeenix games will be worth getting or not. Big brand names are no label of quality anymore, IMO... (or maybe I'm just getting less naive? - Although obviously I'll get the next Zelda without thinking twice)
So, I'll just wait and see. Good games will stand out in the end, anyway. The system's prices will drop, and even if I miss a good game when it first comes out, there will always be Ebay... (+ "greatest hits" re-release, and second-hand games in regular stores, etc.)
... I don't really understand why people are so eager to buy a system right at launch? It's not as if it was gonna disappear in thin air or something. By waiting a few months, you'll avoid getting one of those early system that always seem to have some kind of hidden flaws, actually (like dead pixels, problems when reading DVD, and so on)

Whatever. The fact of the matter is XBox is slanted more toward American style games.Ward wrote:what's that about liking RPGs and not FPSs? the mere fact that you brought it up shows how much you are a fanboy. the xbox does not lack RPGs, nor does it only have FPSs to play. And we can't really say about the 360 yet.

Mine is perfect, no glitches no bugs.
The emulator is not very good yet (for xbox1 games), but thats a given.
Quake IV got a bad review at GS. But I am experiencing no problems, and I would rather not buy at 3000 dollar computer to play it.It was an unfair review, I'm actually enjoying it more than PDZ0 single player..
PDZ0 is overrated. If it wasn't for co-op online, it would be a rather dull game. PS, thats the only game I bought, I'm renting all the others.
Although I am tempted to play COD2.
