SG World 2G7: Vegas

This year's [google]Squaregamer World[/google] event is going to be a little more ambitious, so I'm announcing it now.

This summer we'll be holding a meetup in [google]Las Vegas[/google] (USA, not the triad-run arcade/pool room in Soho).
Events are pending, but I'm guessing drinking and gambling will be there at the top.

At the moment dates are yet to be set, but I think late August would be about the right time.
Here's the initial list of people who are thinking of coming over from this side of the Atlantic:

Damien
Chi
Calbrena
Lap
Stel
(sorry if I forgot anybody that showed interest).

It'll be good to see some American SGers over there

Get your peas together (I'll need to work on that one

) and let's start organising dates and such

How long are we thinking, btw? A week? 3-4 days? 10 days or a year? ;p

Timing will be key; August is ok, but for me, dates would need to be fixed ASAP so I can negotiate cover at work (resit period, A Level results day, It's many other commitments

I was thinking a week, but if 4 days is a lot cheaper, I'm up for that.

More seriously(?), august 2G7 is honestly totally beyond my current time horizon (which is about 5 minutes ahead at the mo). Will probably have the money (if I don't spend everything on various other things such as travels to visit it's many people). Can probably arrange to have the time (though it will really depend on my new job hunting situation, which is totally unforeseenable from where I stand). And do have the motivation (and hopefully will still have it by then). So I guess that's a good start

Way to steal our idea foolios. I might be game. I'll most likely be backpacking in some wilderness in the middle of August, and work can get pretty hectic at the end of the month due to students coming back to school. So yeah, we'll see.
