GTA San Andreas trailer--you in the jungle, baby
Maybe anyone who cares as much as me has already seen this on their own, but the fine new San Andreas trailer looks too nice for me to keep myself from thrusting it upon everyone.
Go to http://www.rockstargames.com/sanandreas/, click the movies link at the top, and check out the official trailer video. It shows all the cities, including the Las Vegas themed city which there isn't a section for on the site yet, and the neon lights look really cool.
And the trailer music was Welcome to the Jungle by Guns N Roses, which I hope is an indication of the general quality of the soundtrack.
Seriously, check it out. It's a beautiful thing.
There's also a section up now about the San Francisco city (named San Fierro as I recall), and the big pointy building and Golden Gate Bridge look nice, as well as the huge mountain (for which there is a little video of an airplane flying around it).

Re: GTA San Andreas trailer--you in the jungle, baby
I'm almost wondering if "Welcome to the Jungle" might not also be a reference to the GTA reference in the E32K3 MGS3 trailer. ("This isn't some Grand Theft Auto. You are in the jungle. Go eat some snakes!")
Re: GTA San Andreas trailer--you in the jungle, baby
This is the only game I'm looking forward to for what's left of the year.
Re: GTA San Andreas trailer--you in the jungle, baby
That's if you don't consider HL2 to be released by the end of this year, right?
Re: GTA San Andreas trailer--you in the jungle, baby
After watching this trailer for the first time yesterday I preordered the game.
Re: GTA San Andreas trailer--you in the jungle, baby
I'm still hesitant to preorder this after GTA3 was the same shit after the second area and Vice City generally sucked shit. Looks cool, though.

Re: GTA San Andreas trailer--you in the jungle, baby
No other game interests me right now. And those that do I can't play because a. They're on platforms I don't own. b. I don't have a high end cpu to play them on. and c. don't have the cash to go apeshit on buying a ton of games. So suck it Ward.Ward wrote:you have shit taste in gamingTheStrife wrote:This is the only game I'm looking forward to for what's left of the year.
Re: GTA San Andreas trailer--you in the jungle, baby
What's the point if you can't play them though?
Of course I look forward to HL2. I own both SP expansions, and used to modify the sounds and skill.cfg's to make the damage more realistic all the time.
I like to look forward to games I can actually play rather than just looking at screenshots and movies of them and cumming from afar.

Im a big fan of GTA and i own all the games from the first one to the vice city (i have them in PS and PS2).
but for San andres i'll wait for the Xbox version because the loading is faster the graphics are better and of course because I can put custom music in it.

I'm waiting for the Xbox version for the inevitable cleaner graphics (and framerate), and custom soundtracks options. I don't need to play this game right now (no time + too many games to play), so I don't mind waiting. I'd also wait for the PC version for the free-targetting controls if I had a PC that could run it, but I don't, so I'll settle with the Xbox version.
And if the graphics do turn out cleaner/faster on GTA:SA ps2, well, by the time the Xbox version hits, it'll be cheaper, and I'll probably grab that version instead.

I can't believe EVERY pedestrian has a unique lifecycle. It says if you were to follow one you would see that he comes out of his house in the morning, goes to work or to the store, meets up with friends, etc. That's crazy to me. I can't believe how much they're putting into this.

Yo bitches, word from M$ at work is that the X-Box version's due for March.
Mind you, I'm going to be all over the PS2 version between October and then, but I know what I'll be swapping for when spring comes around. The X-Box GTAs made playing the games so much more fun -- cleaner graphics, higher resolution, reduced loading times/faster saves, and the best difference, driving with the triggers instead of the PS2's shoulder buttons. It's so much more satisfying.

they say that, but when you actually see it executed it will more than likely be very lame.the 3rd child wrote:I can't believe EVERY pedestrian has a unique lifecycle. Re: GTA San Andreas trailer--you in the jungle, baby
What was wrong with driving with the shoulder buttons? The only thing you "drove" with was the R1 button for your E-brake and L2/R2 for drive-bys.
I actually prefer the E-brake on R1 as I switch it to that when I play any other types of driving/ GTA clone games.

what's supposed to be ultra exciting about it? it's just a little thing that makes the pedestrians more interesting than they were in the other gta gamesJoei wrote:they say that, but when you actually see it executed it will more than likely be very lame.the 3rd child wrote:I can't believe EVERY pedestrian has a unique lifecycle.
