Talk about anything here that there isn't another specific forum for. General chit-chat between the SG regulars. The Moderators will be sad pandas if you spam... too much.
Which leads to you. Do you behave differently on the internet vs real-life?
I for my part, am just as bi-polar IRL (which ranges from completely annoying goofball to dead serious ). This character is relatively intact on the interweb. However, I'm much more of a hater online than off. I really can't express hate IRL, at least, not to the same extent.
I see Ward has discovered the genious that is Red vs Blue
I'm pretty much just as wierd offline as on, but online, it's like anything I do is like 100 times more obnoxious. I also say a lot more rude shit online than I would otherwise.

I used to act all stuck up on the internet for a long time, making it look like I was someone I wasn't. Eventually I stopped though, as there is seriously no point in hiding what you are really like.
That, and its easier to just type shit than to have to think about it first, then type it the way you want it to be seen.
Come to think of it, I acted this way in real life for a long time too. Around the end of high school (going back quite a ways kids ) I just said fuck it and started being myself.
Haha...wow. I won't say I think differently, but I do react differently. I am a lot more random in person and I also tend to talk more too. Oh I am also more blunt offline.

I think I'm mostly the same, but obviously there's things I say online that I wouldn't say irl. It's not so much the fact that it's "online" as much as that it's simply a different group of people and different things are allowed/accepted.
Actually, I'm probably more of a bitch when debating things in forums than I am irl. I'm sure John can vouch for that!
I am every bit as bubbly irl, but not all the time. Sometimes extremely subdued and quiet. And shy.
Mang, no wonder Doom's such a chick magnet- he doesn't exist!!

It depends on what you mean. I'm just as weird offline as I am online. However, I am also more reticent. I pretty much avoid talking to anyone I don't know.b Sometimes, new people talk to me and I respond, though feeling uncomfortable with this invasion into my familiar world. If these same people talk to me enough times, they become "people I know." To anyone belonging to said group, I doubt I'm all that different from the way I am online.
Oh yeah, and I don't say "nig" offline. I don't want people to think I'm a racist. Here it doesn't matter, because everybody's saying "nig" nowadays(I was shocked when I first saw that ). The only person I might say "nig" to offline is Sara because she's been to SG. In fact, I think I did call her a "nig" once.
Speaking of "nig." My professor wrote "NiG" on the bored for number of molecules of ian deal gas. It took me awhile to realize why he wrote it(meanwhile I was laughing to myself).
I'm pretty much the same, I think. I'm generally happy and a relaxed guy, but I tend to get angry quick and pissed off in real life, and I think that transfers over here. Maybe I take things less seriously in real life, actually.

She is. And I don't really remember debating things with you online, but in person I sure do!
I'm much quieter in real life, and it takes a lot more to make me start yelling at people. Other than that I'd say I'm even more awesome in real life than I am online, if that's even possible.

I don't know that you take things more seriously online so much as you just get into it more b/c it's a place to debate, whereas IRL you're very easygoing. You're definitely easier to talk to IRL.
I think there are certain aspects of myself that don't always come off online, but that's more to do with the fact that there are certain types of conversation that I just don't generally have online. For example, IRL I tend to be more of a bastard, and I'm also a bit more screwball and less of a tightass. But that's mostly because my only long, involved posts online tend to be when I'm debating something, and I always get more formal when I debate, whether online or offline. Other than that, though, I'm every bit the pedantic academic that I present myself as; I've never felt any desire to deliberately misrepresent myself.
in real life i'm pretty much the same as i am anywhere else. except with fewer spelling errors and typos... but a bit more stuttering and mid-sentencical corrections.
and on the internet i'm made of pure gold. polished to a gleam.

I'm also more in real life, that might also be a reason!

Only fatter, fatty! <3 And it would be kind of odd if when you spoke to people, all of a sudden one of your drawings "appeared" in their minds as if they clicked on a link
