Obama is the next President of the United States

McCain just gave a very well-spoken, considerate, and moving concession speech. Now that Obama has been declared the next president, it is only now that I really have a palpable sensation of the significance that Obama's presidency will have. I hope the US will right itself during his term and move away from what it has become over the last twenty years.

What does the rest of SG think about this?

I am a bit disconcerted.
I walked through an anti obama rally in LA last week, and based on what I saw/heard the two minutes that I walked through it, America has elected a Communist, a Radical Terrorist, a Racist, and a Jew Hater (which I suppose falls into the latter category - I'm just paraphrasing the signs).

We haven't had that problem, even though the person with our credit card isn't even an active member
