Well I just got my Gamecube version recently so I haven't played much. From what I can tell so far, the movements are really smooth. I'm not sure about the Wii version. I think they look the same and have been told graphically they are identical.
I really can't play this without a wavebird though. Wired controllers are so annoying. Anyway post your thoughts on both versions. Whichever one you've played. Game is supposedly like 40 hours and I heard being a wolf is annoying as hell.
I like being a wolf cuz you fight the twilight creatures.
What's annoying is collecting those light thingies.
PS: This game owns buy it.
The Wii version was worth it to me cuz of the widescreen. After an adjustment period, it's nearly identical in control to a typical game (minus camera control maybe).
Well I'm up to the first dungeon. Haven't attempted it yet. The part with the wolf was really annoying. Nightmares of Okami. Story so far is kind of weird. Really don't understand much of it yet. Gonna try and play more tomorrow.
Is it just difficult to understand as there aren't many words, the main character has no personality, and it's just really badly thought out as a whole?
Almost every Zelda game since has had it's one "plot" twist.
I liked Link's Awakening a lot, but I can't really say it had a real good plot, just more of a set-up of what was actually happening.
TBH quite often I think they're hilarious. Especially fighting games "stories". Reading characters' background always crack me up
Anyway, a story don't need be complex to be good. Look at classics: fairy tales, myths and legends and so on. Pretty basic stuff, really. Actually one thing I like about the Zelda games' stories is that they don't try to elaborate beyond that: an epic tale at its most basic. Simple, but efficient.
I dont have a Wii, I have a gamecube though!!!!!! I didnt get Zelda yet though, I was playing this game called Paper Mario Thosand year door. I wasnt going to get it but my Friends at school recomended it to me. It has a bland plot to it (not exiting at all) Im still playing it though, I hope to play it through at least once just for the heck of it. I need to get a D.S, I want nintendogs and Final Fantasy three and ill be happy!!!!!!!!!!
Your pain and sorrow you feel every once in a while, that is what fuels me, your pain is what keeps me alive, and I feel just fine!!!!!!!!!!!!! "BE SORROWFULL"

Oh I agree.
But I mean, I really don't see why people are motivated to play a game solely based on the merits of their storytelling.

I would've quit gaming a long time ago if I did this.
I will probably get Zelda when im finished with paper mario, for all who have played it, could you tell me how good the gameplay is, preferably someone who has played the GC version.

The GC Zelda is suppsedly the same as the Wii. It's just that the Wii you gotta be standing up. So if you jsut like to sit down and play a 40 hours game that is rich and challenging, the GC version is for you. Also don't play with a wired controller please. Wavebird or bust.
I don't really know how. What kind of programs do you use? Photoshop? Dont' have Photoshop.... MS Paint? Don't have MS Paint..... Emotishop? Don't have Emotishop...
Yeah, the learning curve is a bit steep though
Potentially, I guess it could do just about everything the others do, but the user interface is not as intuitive, IMO (read: it's different from programs I'm used to)
Also, the it's many windows quickly get annoying, always getting in the way (esp. when using a single screen, single desktop configuration, I guess)
Don't get me wrong, I use the Gimp (I'm poor) and rather like it. But I guess I'd like it better if it was easier to use. Sometimes I spend [s]hours[/s] minutes looking for an editing function that's just a click away when using Photoshop or the like. I suppose I should try and learn how to program my own macro/modules thingies within the Gimp's environment
This was a wicked awesome game. Certainly it is not a showpiece for what the Wii is capable of but I couldn't be happier that they ended up porting the game from gamecube. My biggest beef is the lack of orchestrated music. They pretty much have no excuse. In any case, the bosses own, I really enjoyed the last battle. The design is consistently wicked save for one aspect of the game
city in the sky. I fucking HATE those creepy cucco people. Like wtf was that? A copout on designing another cool culture maybe but it's not like they'd need to make that sacrifice . . . so I dunno but I really hated it.
Anyway I'm yet to do all sidequests. I havn't even attempted fishing yet, but the minigames seem like they'd all be fun.
I play with a wave bird, also now that the secrets out Black metal fang is me, im just going to start over as whisp anyway!!!! is there a way to delete accounts?

Went over to Josh's house and played this game today. It's pretty good, but i think they might have been able to do a bit more with the graphics. other thatn that, tis pwnage.
