As I'm being unpaid, it worries me a bit, but I'm not going to have another break like this for a long time so hopefully a couple of months of watching what I spend will put me back on track... hoperfully

We will be sending the keys to you on Friday 23rd June a week before you are due to leave (Special delivery) they will need to be signed for. they usually arrive the next day.

If you wanted to have the villa for another night, the charge would be £184.00, As the rental is charged by the night.

Still haven't been able to talk to ant properly about the tickets, I'm starting to worry about how much it's gonna cost me if I have to buy a ticket at the last minute

Edit: Just talking to Chris about this now. Depending on whether they let us arrive early on the saturday, would you guys be up for splitting the cost for the extra night so we can go straight there as soon as we arrive? I'm just hoping they don't decide we can't arrive til like, mid day on Saturday or something. If they wanna be technical and say after midnight though, then we'll just arrive then.

Yeah, just have done. They were a bit confused so I've explained the situation to them. Hotmail's being really crap so I can't get on there to copy their reply on here, but basically they said if we want it for that night we have to let them know before anyone else books it. And if not, it's not gonna be ready til about 11am on the saturday

So do we go ahead and book the Friday as well? I'm not sure what to do, since we're not gonna be arriving til late so we're kinda being cheated out of more money than we should be. And if our flights are delayed at all, we're gonna be paying like 20 odd quid each for the sake of a few hours.

I'm undecided tbh. I'll go with the majority, since I won't sleep at an airport so Saturday's gonna be painful, but at the same time I'm not too well off for money at the minute.

The only other option would be to use Rachel's share of the money to pay it (if she was happy to do so), but it's still not gonna cover all of it...

So I dunno really. Gotta weigh up the cost against a few extra hours, unless I can try and get them to get the villa ready a bit earlier. If nobody books it for the day before (which is unlikely, this late on) then I could try and ask them to prepare it for us to arrive earlier (as in, on Saturday, but before 11). But we're not gonna know whether the villa is free until the last minute.

Thoughts please...

Getting a good nights rest isn't being cheated out of money imo.
The house is mainly for use at night anyway so we could say that about any given day.

Rachel, would you be cool with your share of the holiday money going directly to this, if everyone agrees (rather than share out the extra that we've paid since the price per person went down slightly)? Then it's only a few quid each on top (for the 8 of us that arrive on the first night) so it's a lot more doable.

Edit: We still need to pay the cleaner btw. That comes to 160 euros, which is about 17 euros each (slightly more most probably, taking into account Lap and Rachel's 1 week stays). Just in case that sways anyone's money situations.

Another edit: Another point though, we'd probably spend that cleaner money on random caffiene drinks and magazines, etc if we had to stay awake for 12 hours at an airport. So maybe we're not gonna be any worse off for money by paying for the extra night...

Nah just a set amount each week which adds up to about 17 euros each total.

On topic I personally don't care. I'd rather save the money since I've spent way too much on this holiday already but if Rachel's share of the rent can cover it then sure it sounds fine. I can easily sit in an airport for 12 hours since we nearly did that last year on the way back.

Basically we have to pay about a tenner each for the cleaner, just a one off payment.

We then have the choice of paying about £2 each to have an extra night at the villa (if Rachel's share of the villa goes towards it).

If not, we have to wait at the airport for about 12 hours. Meaning we're all gonna be stupidly tired on Saturday and won't probably do much

Thinking about coming home last year, how tired I was, I don't think I wanna do that again tbh. The more I think about it, the more I wanna pay for the extra night rather than have to wait. I know a few people have fairly hefty journeys to their respective airports so they're gonna have been travelling for a long time. And tbh when we arrive ideally I'd like to unpack and grab stuff from the supermarket before the potential England match, which (depending on how we progress) would be about 4pm on the saturday.

But it depends on money and stuff, so need more input from people please. If people are dead against it then we'll just wait at the airport, but you need to speak up if you have any preference.

Also, chances are we would spend some cash at the airport for 12 hours anywhoo.

Because as I see it I'd still owe money to Beetle and Chris who only arrive on Saturday...

I have more money than I thought now since my Mam keeps buying me stuff I need when we go down town so I'm still OK paying for the extra night. If everyone decides against it though then I don't care, I don't need too much sleep anyway so time at the airport would be OK too.

The easiest thing would probably be for you to send a cheque directly to them, or pay Andy the money, then he can do it instead. Then we'll pay you back the extra 20 quid or whatever it is (cos yours comes to about £163 I think)
