Can’t let budgies become the face of DQ8

Post by WaWard »

When I play DQ8 they start getting overly excited, flying around everywhere, and doing the chant they usually do when they are pissed or dissaprove. I'm 40 hours into the game, and I started the game up today for the first time in months, hoping they would've forgotten and they went insane. They usually don't react that much to videogames, save for maybe the katamari games (they were all happy about that one) or MGS3 (they wonder where the other birds are for that one :sadlove).

They don't seem to complain when I play games with guns and explosions. They must like violence. If they ever kill themselves I will blame videogames, and sue the makers.

:cry

Do your pets react to videogames?

Must be the music. Or the high pitched selection sounds. I'm playing DQ8 and sometimes I get overly excited and fly around to, because I'm pissed and disapprove. It's a slow ass game. :sadpanda

Could you ask them to review games for SG please? :ruroken

No pet in SG house but I know my brother's cat likes videogames, and I think she especially likes WoW :? as every time I was playing it she would just come in and sleep next to me :} Maybe that's how she reacts to any game though. :o
She seemed to enjoy Animal Crossing too, normally watching what happened, but she also does that with normal TV stuff. :erm

I live DQVIII but I seem to fall asleep whenever I play it >_<
This is making it terribly hard to complete.

I think the game must ahve magical properties.
I should birdnap your budgie to keep me awake :p

Cats quite often come and sit on people's lap whenever they get the occasion, anyway. And pretend they're sleeping. Though they're really just spying on us, you know? :o
They must always stand closer to the screen (or whatever it is we are doing) than we are.

I think some of my pet fish would react (suddenly moving in random directions) to stuff such as games on the TV, sometimes. Especially loud, low noises - it bothered them, I guess.

But I think animals in general (birds and mammals, at least) also tend to get quite excited when they hear the sound of an animal their species (or even sometimes when they see an animal looking like them, like a tiger, or a wolf, etc.) or a potential prey/predator, be it in a game or on TV.

My shih tzu was looking at me very strangely when I was playing Animal Crossing in his presence.

Oddly he didn't do much when KK Slider did his song.

Is it a budgie? Budgie is a way better name than parakeet. Parakeet is a bad name.
