i don't know what words you all, did but it wasn't 50/50 on the penultimate for me. I can think of at least one other word it could have been and I hadn't used that letter yet. My last guess might have been 50/50, because I can really only think of three letters that work with the other 4 and I had used one on the penultimate.

My current strategy is to get rid of as many letters that commonly pair with others as I can, and [spoiler]RALPH[/spoiler] (which is, surprisingly, an accepted word) gets a lot of those. R pairs a lot with C, D, F, G, K, O, P, T... P, H, S, C, and L also pair with a lot of others so that combination helps me narrow down more likely sets or combos, or eliminate a lot of letters as being less likely simply by identifying whether these core "pairing" letters are in the word.

And I've yet to see a plural wordle, so S as the last letter seems really unlikely.

From what I got from the first word, [spoiler] I thought the word was gonna start with "pro", so proof, prose, prove...went with prose would probably have been better, but I couldn't think of it at the time.

Since PR and O were out, I started to think PER, and the only word that seemed common enough that used those 3 letters, started with P, AND didn't include A H L or V, and wasn't a prior wordle I'd done was the one I picked. Had I not already cleared the L, I would have guessed PERIL.[/spoiler]

I was lucky to get the [spoiler]K[/spoiler] on my first guess, and to put it in its correct spot on the second one. The third guess took me a few minutes but it was the first reasonable guess that fit the bill.

Honestly, this one had enough options that I could have potentially failed even with getting that close on the second (as far as I know, there are 8 options for those 4 correct letters, my first guess eliminated one but that still leaves 2 possibilities for failure after 6 words). If I had thought more strategically I would have used the third guess to eliminate multiple options at once, but the best that could have gotten me was a win in 4 guesses, which I got anyway, so no loss. But obviously the smarter thingntp do would have been to guess something like "films" for the third guess. In this case, it would have immediately told me the right answer and at worst, for another word with that ending, it would have eliminated 4 of the 6 remaining words to guarantee a win in 5 or less. I never think of this stuff while I'm playing though. At least not until I'm at like the 5th or 6th guess where it's too late.

My strategy has been to use two words that use all 5 vowels (excluding y) in the first two guesses unless the first guess gives me enough to take a different path. I'm thinking this may be a mistake because words with missing letters are more easily identified by consonants.
