I like the way they're thinking. because it's a fake ass holiday just make it friday all the time!

What makes it fake? Banks not closing?

There is an article in a local news-thing about a discussion to make Halloween 'always a Saturday'.

I get it, but also, no. Life doesn't always happen at convenient times! Deal with it!

Candy? Colors? Costumes? Parties? Decorations? Associated movies. All sorts of things. Honestly Halloween is more of a holiday than most days off. Only holidays that are more.holidayish are Christmas, Easter, and maybe Thanksgiving.

Damien · Post by **Damien** » Thu Oct 31, 2019 6:49 am

Anybody else missing the banner?

RDM · Post by **RDM** » Thu Oct 31, 2019 9:19 am

Banner seems to be working.

Makes me want to check if Homestar Runner has a Halloween thing, since I think they technically exist. Maybe I will later.

No trick or treaters yet.

Haven't gone yet, either.

The Halloween-cancelling rain is here.

WaWard · Post by **WaWard** » Thu Oct 31, 2019 10:25 pm

It’s not cancelled here
It sucks

Damien · Post by **Damien** » Thu Oct 31, 2019 10:33 pm

It only drizzled lightly here, just before it got dark. Definitely due a few days of nonstop rain now.

Is the banner band?

Damien · Post by **Damien** » Fri Nov 01, 2019 6:53 am

Banner not band. Going to need to start mentioning 2G20 banners to Manoftxt tho

Vibing_V · Post by **Vibing_V** » Fri Nov 01, 2019 7:33 am

You're probably going to need to have brought those up with him 6 months ago or more.

Damien · Post by **Damien** » Fri Nov 01, 2019 8:00 am

Nah he'd have left it until later and forgotten it.
Plus I'm holding out for decent promo images for a big Squeenix 2G20 release.

Fei Ayanami · Post by **Fei Ayanami** » Fri Nov 01, 2019 1:50 pm

Yes it’s fucking windy here.

In 1098 AD, the Crusaders under Bohemond I capture Antioch after an 8-month siege. Bohemond establishes secret contact with Firouz, an Armenian guard who controls the "Tower of the Two Sisters". Firouz opens the gates and Bohemond enters the city. Thousands of Christians are massacred along with Muslims. Bohemond is named Prince of Antioch (under protest) and creates the Principality of Antioch.

We did that in Columbus every year for safety, weather, and school reasons. Halloween was always Halloween, but the nearest clear Friday or Saturday for trick or treating was called Beggar's Noght and it worked great. I wish more places would adopt that.
