Does your national anthem mention the War of 1812? A war you ballsed right up by letting us burn your big daddy’s house?

It doesn't mention it. It's about it. Or rather about a specific battle that the writer was witness to.

I like how Trump thinks that because Trudeau said something while Trump was flying, he must have been conniving and expecting that Trump wouldn’t be aware he’s said it.

Also, what he said was the same shit he’s been saying for days??? :? :? :?

Trump is confusingly rando.

Trump always accuses others of what he does. So now we know he tries to orchestrate tweets for when he thinks the subject can't see them.

At this point, I just expect horrible things to happen and hope that enough people stay angry, frustrated, and motivated enough to turn him into a 1-term lame duck in a few months.

But then, I expected more people to keep someone we already knew was a monster from being elected in the first place, but I severely overestimated our collective tolerance for atrocities. If the GOP retains control of both chambers, I fully expect public lynchings to come back into vogue.

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez looks poised to beat Joe Crowley in the Democratic Primary (she has a commanding lead of over 15 points with 88% of precincts reporting, so I'd say it's pretty much locked in). This will be a significant victory over neolib Dems, especially considering Crowley's ambitions to become Speaker. Of course, there's always the danger that he'll pull a Lieberman on her in November.

Crowley is not pulling a Lieberman. He played her a song and was all congratulatory and stuff! Pretty cool if we can get seriously progressive candidates in a bunch of the safer-D districts and start actually moving the national conversation towards cool things like Medicare for all.

One of the few things you can trust this administration to do is reflexively, and spitefully, do the opposite of whatever common sense would otherwise dictate based on long-established medical and scientific fact.

This is so beyond the pale ridiculous that the president and his administration can even get away with doing this.

1. It should be flat out criminal to even attempt to do this. This should be immediate grounds for impeachment and arrest of all reponsible. There shouldn't even be much of a need for investigation, because the publicly made act itself should be illegal.

2. Both the perpretators of these acts and any responsible for the fact that regulations like these aren't ingrained in law should be liable and executed. And if the law prevents them from being held responsible they should rightfully be rounded up and torn apart limb from limb by angry mobs.

Unbanning absbestos seems to be a pretty good way to alienate blue collar families who've lost craploads of family members to cancer. But that'd require people to have logical reactions to the news.
