Kiwifruit: Skin on or skin off?

Post by Fei Ayanami »

Do you eat THE HAIRY SKIN when you eat kiwifruit?

I do!! I didn’t used to, but that was out of ignorance that such a thing was feasible. Once I took the dive there was no going back!!! Love that skin!!!

Wash it, skin on.

The skin is so thin and barely has any taste itself. Prevents your hands from getting messy and less fruit wasted by discarding the peels.

I have these kiwi spoon things. They're mainly used for dishing out cat food though.

I used to scoop out kiwi with a (non-specialized) spoon. Now I am enlightened though. :good

Can you not just use any old spoon - if you insist on not eating the hairy skin

I always do the slice'n'scoop with kiwifruit. I did try eating peach skin one time though. Just the one time. I usually opt for nectarines instead because I can't be bothered to peel peaches.
