This thread is for posting in when you've identified a drop in forum activity. We can then use this thread to identify trends. Please only post in here during a slump.

We're currently in a slump because LPTPW doesn't get a page a day or more.

This is an exceptional slump in that most people coming by aren't bothering to win while they're here.

Slump was likely because SG Montreal was travelling the world

Personally I think next time there's an SG Day you should just let that thread go. It usually brings quite a few people back but then the thread they're all talking in gets closed. I'd wager people are more likely to post in other threads if they're already coming back to continue their conversation in the original one.

The thread trails off after a couple of days. People have generally stopped visiting and posting in it well before it’s locked.

Clearly they're anticipating the lock and doing a preemptive self lock.

You realize we could just use the activity of the main thread to measure slumps, right?

This is an easy way of checking when slumps were without having to run/find stats.
