It's out in the US and my copy's on the way right now.

If you buy anything else off play (that comes to over £25, put in "playoffer" for a fiver off. Got that on a pizza box.

Started FFIII today. It's pretty cool. The opening sequence (after just turning the DS on not after selecting "new game") is pretty cool.
In game the graphics are some of the best out there on the DS now. Storywise the game picks up pretty fast and gets moving. The battle system is turn based but fun. Recently unlocked some jobs and those look pretty good though I don't much like the look for Warrior. The others look fine that I saw.
Only about an hour into the game and so far I like it, looks like it'll be pretty good.
Control wise you can use either they stylus for everything, or the buttons. The only thing is the only way I've found to zoom in, as is sometimes necessary, is to use the icon on the touch screen. But it's not difficult to use your thumb to do it.

I'm playing this at the same time as Yoshi's Island DS so I strongly disagree with your "best ingame graphics" claim (whereas Yoshi is pretty much 2D perfected).
It's all very blocky primative 3D.
The gameplay can't be faulted though, Very old skool, despite the newish looks.

You get Mognet when you unlock jobs. Just talk to the moogles in towns.

That's not true. They originally released it as III back in the day though they changed some things to make it easier, then it wsa rereleased as VI on Anthology, and THEN it was released on the GBA.

The GBA version of VI hasn't been released yet.
Trust me.
They released I&II a couple of years back, IV a few months back, V very recently, and VI is penned in for early next year.

So what party set up are you using?
At the start I used: Warrior, Monk, Black Mage, Red Mage. Then later when I discovered that the game doesn't tell you when you unlock new jobs I changed my Warrior to a Knight so that he could use white magic. I'm not too thrilled about the way Knight and Dark Knight look.... Dragoon would look awsome if it weren't for the fat dress thing around the waist that makes him/her look like a freaking chicken.
Monk is *awesome* though. It really sucked for a while and I considered changing him to Theif, but I'm so glad I didn't. My Monk can practically solo most monsters.
Funny thing to note about Monk is that all the weapons for Monk really suck. And I mean really suck. They suck so bad that my Monk has a higher attack without any weapons equipped. Oh well.

Knight is okay, but I was hoping that the job level would sky-rocket at least a little bit since I'm further in the game.. but they don't make it clear how jobs level up exactly so I don't know what to do.

Black Mage and Red Mage hold thins down nicely. Pretty standard. Only thing I can say is that even with only 16 Strength my Red Mage either matches or out damages my Warrior/Knight most of the time. Since they're more proficient with magic than my Knight and can use pretty much the same armor, I don't know why I don't just make my knight a red mage sometimes...

Well, it does lack the magic of the other ff games............. But i still enjoyed playing the whole real time fighting system. And, the graphics were beautiful, especially for that years game releases.
