Re: Anime Pub Thread v.503
Looks like Funimation licensed Samurai 7. This is somewhat unexpected but I'm not complaining.
FUNimation Anime Weekend Atlanta Announcement (11:21 AM EDT): According to information received from our contacts at FUNimation, they announced at their 10 AM panel at Anime Weekend Atlanta this morning their acquisition to the domestic distribution rights to Gonzo's latest series, Samurai 7.

Re: Anime Pub Thread v.503
I'm guessing from the new OST that Champloo is getting a new opening song?
Re: Anime Pub Thread v.503
Samurai Champloo episode 17 uses a different ending theme but that song can be found on the Himawari single. The episode ends like it was the end of the series with credites rolling as the camera focuses on the characters and the aftermath of what happened. At the end of the episode you have the message "To be (or not to be) continued?" even though you know that they are just switching networks.
Tenjou Tenge is only 24 episodes with episode 23 ending the story arc revolving around Shin. The preview of the next episode is just the aftermath of the conflict near the beginning of the series and is pretty much a horrible way to end the first season.
Stupid L33t-raws BT is down and I can't get the final episode to Melody of Oblivion!

Oh yeah, is Kurau: Phantom Memory any good? I've watched up to 2, but I still don't know if I should keep watching it. Any recommendations/opinions on it?

Re: Anime Pub Thread v.503
I love Kurau, putting that minor complaint that Doom address aside, I still find it to be the best anime of the previous season.
I was viewing Otogizoushi's main website and was surprised to find out that the series is more than 13 episodes. I'm acutally quite happy with this as the series was going to end off in a predictable fashion and end up being a mediocore anime. Instead they've expanded the series in a quite surprising way. From what I can speculate from the screenshots on the official website the series seems to shift
time periods and places the characters in modern setting. I'm guessing something went horribly wrong with the magatamas that they've been searching for.
Anybody knew that Mahou Shojoutai Arisu is 40 episodes?

Re: Anime Pub Thread v.503
Wow, I was expecting the first episodes of Kurau to be episodic, with her taking on dangerous jobs, but I was pleasantly surpised at how they have meaning and still have the bigger plot working during these first few episodes. I'm getting tired of the Kurau-Christmas dialogue really fast though, especially during ep 5, but the developments are more than enough to make me dismiss that opinion.
