I don't have any hats.
I actually had 2 when I was on holiday last year, but I lost one and gave one to Cal :{

The RDM used to had a hat, but lost it while drive go-karts.

Once he bought a hat and accidentally got two of the same hat somehow, then tried to sell the extra one but it disappeared before he could so he has come to doubt that it ever existed at all.

Would you rather be with someone rock your socks can't believe they are not a mirage hot, with the intelligence of a toaster? Or someone with every single physical pet peeve imaginable, with the mind only your soul mate could have?
Interesting question.
I think everybody would rather fuck the 1st one. Beside, dumb people can still be nice (which, all things considered, is much, much more important than being smart) and fun to be around (even if it means laughing at them rather than with them :p) if you're in the right set of mind - I'd just think of such person as a 'pet' rather than a 'partner'
But I also think that if you meet someone with which you feel you share a very close "mind-bond", chances are your eyes won't see what you don't really want to see. Brain just filters it out. Or maybe it's the other way around? Bodies, no matter how they look, can also send signals (pheromones, shit like that) your brain perceives but doesn't register as anything else than "good vibes"
"Body" and "mind/soul" is an artificial distinction, IMO - one doesn't really exists indepently of the other. I've never met a bodyless soul, and a body with no mind is called a corpse. Of course, sometimes (on the Internet for instance) it can feel like you perceive them independently, but they still exist as one single entity. I've yet to meet a person who feels totally different on the Internet than in Real Life. Of course, they can show different aspects of their personality in different contexts, like everyone does. But to me body/soul remains one consistent thing. More specifically, the mind developed the way it is because it existed in a specific body, that experienced such and such things. If you love the consequence, how not to love the cause? And vice-versa. Maybe :heh (got a cold, head hurts, am not exactly thinking straight...)

The 3rd choice mentioned by the RDM (the Emo-one) is just scary, I think. "Be with" implies emotional involvement in one way or another. Emo people are just emotionally draining, and awful to be around of for an extended period of time. If the emo can't be cured and/or kept under reasonable control, for the sake of my own sanity, I'd rather run away from them as far as I can D:

Erm....maybe later. First, I'd have to think about which are the best ones, then I'd have to make sure they work in isolation and aren't part of a series of strips on roughly the same subject and then I'd have to find them and post them. I'm feeling lazy right now, so, maybe later...

I don't often find web comics funny either, but occasionally I see one which is hilarious. I have to side with the RDM this time though, that Dinosaur one wasn't terribly amusing.

There are some webcomics that are pretty amusing, though usually not terribly funny. Adventurers! had a good run.

Obviously. They could be talking anything. I don't even remotely think that's what makes the comic funny (sometimes dinosaur related humor does come into play though). On the other hand, I don't think God and the Devil could be as funny if they weren't God and the Devil. I mean most of the things God says wouldn't make too much sense if he weren't God, and just having some crazy video game fan wouldn't really be too funny, but it is pretty funny that the Devil always talks about video games.

It makes sense that the Devil would talk about video games, because video games are the devil.

That's entirely possible.

It's where the policymakers live, and the policymakers exist in a delicate balance between hating video games and not caring about them. It is your job to keep them from caring about them.

The only webcomic that consistently made me laugh was Sexylosers. Such a shame that its not updated anymore :(

Sexylosers is meh.

The RDM can't think of any webcomic that consistantly made him laugh...

Sinfest was funny for a little while, then they just started reusing the same four jokes over and over.

Sinfest slowly got more and more boring to the point where I just stopped taking notice of it in my LJ feed. I dunno wether this was because the strips were getting worse or I just got bored with it, but it didnt keep my attention either way.

It turned into crap.

The RDM thinks it has since been discontinued. Maybe the RDM'll go back at some point and see if it ever got better, but he doubts it.

To be honest, I feel like Sinfest from the very beginning is a mix of 90% crap and 10% funny comics. It might be more like 99% crap now though.

Having only ever read 2 dinosaur based comics I can say that 100% of the dinosaur comics I've read have been completely unfunny. It is clear that comedy and extinct creatures do not mix without the aid of Jeff Goldblum, and even then they only have brief moments.

Yeah, in fact the only comic that I can stand up for is Penny Arcade. I need to check that out, it's been a while.

Your strip was boring. Strips with low-level gay jokes based on character stupidity are always solid gold.

Not that that strip was solid gold. It was more like copper-plated, but still.

The RDM appreciates nerd humor as much as the next guy, he just doesn't think that that is particularly good nerd humor. It seems more mindless than anything else.

Sexylosers usually got a wry smile (or an "Ew! Ick!") from me, as did the early days of Sluggy Freelance (before it went mostly crap about 5 years ago). I don't find those dinosaur ones particularly funny (the second one posted was particularly unfunny to me), but each to their own.

I don't really read webcomics.
Though, for some reason, I once went through the ENTIRE Boy Meets Boy archive in one night.

It wasn't really funny, or well drawn... so I dunno why I did it.

Penny arcade, went a little downhill, I went through 10 of them and only found 1 (and perhaps a half) funny comic. Oh well. I guess you can make only so many jokes about video games.

The RDM still enjoys himself some Penny Arcade now and again.

The comics are suprisingly good when they venture into continuity.
