Talk about anything here that there isn't another specific forum for. General chit-chat between the SG regulars. The Moderators will be sad pandas if you spam... too much.
Well, while they don't prevent cancer like some people claim (see recent statement from January 2006 JAMA), they're an essential nutrient because they aren't synthesized by the human body, so they need to be obtained from other sources like fish, walnuts, etc.

They jusyt did some research saying oh "that other cool research about it was wrong." I don't know about that, but it's clearly an important nutrient. Walnuts = good. Perfect balance of Omega 6 to omega 3 (I think).
I'd just like to wish everyone a happy Vernal Equinox, which, as we all know, is the day that Attis (who was also born of a virgin...who as the same number of letters in his name as Jesus...coincidence?), consort of Cybele, the Phrygian fertility goddess, is resurrected and we all celebrate by leaping over the burning embers of a bonfire to ensure fertility of our people and our crops. And for those of you who aren't Pagan, stop stealing the holiday, you mooches!
Or at least start jumping over some smoldering fires in honor of Attis.
