Melody of Oblivion is done and over with already ending at episode 26.thirdchildren wrote:I love that series, why is there no ep16 yet though? Is it on hold like Samurai Champloo?
I'm completely hooked on Fafner and Otogizoushi right now and I'm so intrigued with the direction that both animes took. Both animes have completely gone in a direction that I never expected, especially Otogizoushi.

Genshiken 3
Almost makes me proud (ashamed maybe?) to be an anime fan/nerd.

What, you mean new stuff?
I'm going to assume you have seen or plan to see FMA... that aside, here's a rough breakdown (as in this season only):
Must-see:
Gankutsuou
Gundam SEED Destiny (if you were a fan of the original)
Highly recommended:
Genshiken
Yakitate! Japan
Beck
Fantastic Children
Good:
Kannaduki no Miko
Rozen Maiden
School Rumble
Tsukuyomi: Moon Phase
Mai Hime
Watchable:
Final Approach
Bleach
Sunabozu
Beet the Vandel Buster
Tactics
Harukanaru Toki no Naka de Hachiyoushou
Bleh:
Grenadier
To Heart: Remember My Memories
Uta-Kata
W Wish
Kakyuusei 2
Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha
Futakoi
If you want a list that spans a season or two back... it'll be much longer.

Re: Ongoing Anime Discussion (now with October 2004)
All righty! Thanks Doom Pie Pie
I've watched FMA and despite what people say, the ending was a nice touch to complete the series. Now I'm just looking forward to the FMA Movie that's coming much later.
As for Gundam SEED Destiny, my friend opted to download that so he's pass it later, but yeah I'm a fan of SEED. The only Gundam that I've ever watched. Serious. At first I wasn't interested but since there was no other animes left to watch (at that time) I started watching it and then I just couldn't stop. It was GREAT.
Hearing all the hype on Maria-sama ga miteru, I started downloading the 1st ep. and it was like so... :O But then again, I've only just watched the first episode and you guys mentioned that it started to get good later
.
elfen lied was just a darker version of Chobits. Like blood red dark till it borders on black. Still, the fanservice is nice. And I hate being misunderstood. Takes all the fun out of life
.
DearS was just average but sometimes it makes me feel that getting a slave is better than getting a girlfriend. At least all she wanted was Melon Buns.
I watched some of the older stuffs as well, and I think I can get most of it by raping Dark One's harem
. I think he doesn't mind
. "We're comrades, share and share alike"
Btw, *looks at Leftover's sig* who's that girl and which series is she from? She looks cute.

Re: Ongoing Anime Discussion (now with October 2004)
I can't wait to see what they do with the storyline with only 4 more episodes left in the series. I still want to know what they are planning to do with the scarred guy (his name escapes me at this moment) as he seems to have a larger role in the grand scheme of things yet nothing has really been revealed. Well...maybe episode 22 did more with him but I couldn't understand the majority of the conversation so I'm definitely missing something here.
I really like the way they've been develpoing Bateu's character in the past 4-6 episodes. The next OST needs to be released now, these two episodes had some amazing orchestrated tracks.

Oh wow, Mai Hime 6.
No solid story yet though the action scene was great and I'm really liking the characters. Alot of fun to watch.

I thought that episode was really cheesy but still quite funny.Seta wrote:Oh wow, Mai Hime 6.No solid story yet though the action scene was great and I'm really liking the characters. Alot of fun to watch.

I liked it because it was cheesy. :D The final battle scene seemed to have been intentinally over the top which isn't necessarily a bad thing for me since I thought it contributed alot to the humor.

I like Mai-HIme as much as the next person but even I wouldn't go as far as to say that episode 6 was awesome. The cheese factor was a bit much for me to handle despite being quite funny at times. Everything else about that episode such as the animation and music was perfectly fine.
I seriously need something to watch right now.
Maybe I'll watch Yakitate! Japan episodes 3-5.

And I must ask this question again:
WHERE THE HELL ARE YAKITATE 4 AND BECK 4?!![]()
Re: Ongoing Anime Discussion (now with October 2004)
Everyone knows that I watch raws so it's obvious that I'm going to be ahead of the slower fansub groups.

Mai-Hime is OK, but it hasnt really gone anywhere yet. I'm kinda disappointed.Killey wrote:I like Mai-HIme as much as the next person but even I wouldn't go as far as to say that episode 6 was awesome.
