Yeah, the live action Maria-sama is pretty hardcore. I downloaded it out of curiosity (since Doom was going on about the anime and my lesbian-ish friend posted it in her LJ). I'm sure Garbo would like it... but I'm not sure if its very hardcore by HIS standards

Okay, I was under the impression that this Maria-sama ga Miteru live-action would be a ton of bad acting and a little bit of porn.

I was wrong. It's a lot of mediocre acting (well, minus the gasps during the kiss scene--that was just terrible) and a five-minute long kiss scene that ends up being a part of Yumi's daydream. Now, the kiss scene wouldn't be so TERRIBLE if the girls didn't start lapping each other's tongues! And if the director couldn't have made things worse, he gave us a close-up of this. I mean, their tongues are LITERALLY about 1/4th the size of the entire screen. At one point, I expected them to pull away and a long string of saliva would connect the both of them, but no. I guess the director thought that the string of white is already overused in Japanese smutty fanfiction and doujinshi, so just stuck to tounging tongue action.

The end of episode 2 has just propelled Mariasama into a very high, high status with me. I don't expect it to be able to keep up the same kind of level, but the wonderful emotions and seemingly true thought pattern.. it really is refreshing and wonderful.

The Marmalade Boy anime sucked ass so much. I can't even begin to say how dissappointed I was with it. I was almost ready to start not liking the manga, that's how annoying Miki was and how far the creators strayed from the message of the actual manga.

Doom, the DVD is on sale the middle of next month. They are going to be releasing it. That's apparently the reason why it was shown at Otakon (it was LE's subs)... Tofu's been pretty depressed ever since though

Nah, they are pretty serious about staying within the rules, mainly because they get spots for free at Otakon on a fansubbers panel because they don't do that kind of stuff, or else the companies would get REALLY mad at them, plus Condor Hero is pretty long.
