Kucinich is the man.

Kucinich brought 35 articles of impeachment against Bush last night. You can read them here:

Granted, Congress will surely fail to act on it, because they're a bunch of pussies and loser Republicans too, but it still goes to show that Kucinich owns.

Kucinich introduced a similar resolution last year regarding Cheney. Congress voted to allow the resolution to be debated, then it got buried in the Judiciary Committee.

Bah! Talk about more things then. Maybe this will bring people from WF or whatever they're calling it these days. Then again, I'm not sure that's a good thing. :erm

Wandering Flame. Basically like Squarepedia 2.0, but I think there's a 3.0 now. I just don't know what it's called.

Yes. Impeaching a president a whole six months before he just goes away is definitely not a waste of anybody's time at all.

Ookay. I suppose a very late lame-duck impeachment is a good way to avoid another Ford-style pardon.

I know Kucinich put on hold an earlier attempt at impeaching Bush, I'm not sure of the reason for that. As far as I understand, his primary objective here anyway is to prevent a war with Iran. Will it work? If preventing a war with Iran depends on this effort, then we'll probably be going to war in Iran, but I wouldn't call it a waste of time.

It's just a symbolic gesture. Like correcting the history books a little bit. Adding an impeachment at the end of a Presidency it like a big red exclamation point. It's why everyone remembers Nixon as a dick, even though he was popular as hell when he was President.

Though Nixon didn't necessarily get in trouble for watergate, just for trying to cover it up after his boys got caught with their pants down. Bush was knowingly responsible for intentionally deceiving the United States to start an ill-timed war while we were still rebuilding another country. As much as he and Cheney deserve to be treated like the criminals they are, it should have happened much earlier, and the Democrats should have pulled their thumbs out of their ass long enough to follow through with Cheney, and then with Bush, but it's too late for that now.
