omgStreet Fighter 4
Development has just begun and the release of the game is more than a year away. No platforms are yet confirmed - a highly stylised animated concept trailer of Ryu and Ken fighting was shown, but no game footage.
Ace Attorney: Apollo Justice
A new character and new series starring a rookie lawyer. Phoenix Wright makes an appearance but is not the lead character. Made specifically for DS.
Lost Planet (PS3)
Avaialable early next year and will include all bonus characters from the PC version and extra downloadable content from the 360 version making it the complete package. Made possible with Blu-ray. 16 player online over the PSN.
Dark Void
A new sci-fi action-adventure IP. Trailer showed third-person and air-vehicle gameplay with a character wearing a steam punk jetpack, skydiving and landing in the cockpit of a gyroscopic aircraft, and then jumping and climbing through airbase fortesses.
Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo HD (Xbox Live Arcade)
The game will feature a spectator mode and is scheduled for a 2008 while the team try and get zero lag for the online mode. Also features stat tracking and widescreen. Original music from Street Fighter 2 will be used, plus remixed versions of all those tunes.
Wii Love Golf
From the Everybody's Golf team comes a cutesy golf sim, that looks slightly more technical than the PlayStation versions. Players can fade or draw the ball by twisting the Wii-mote when taking a swing.
We'll have more from our man in London later.

Ugh....what's the big deal? I can't believe there could be any real rhyme or reason to the numbering scheme for Street Fighter games. They had a dozen or more Street Fighter 2 games ands maybe the same for Street Fighter 3 for all I know. If they still have Ryu and Ken in this, I can't see what they could do to make this more deserving of the name "Street Fighter 4" than any of several games that came before.
The TBB offers you tea and biscuits.

Some curious info from Crapcom:
* The producer is Yoshinori Ono, who worked on Street Fighter Alpha, Street Fighter III and Capcom Fighting Revolution
* The game will have online modes
* The game will use toon-shaded graphics like in Street Fighter II
* The gameplay will be in 2D while graphics are in 3D, but the camera angle is fixed
* Capcom wants to bring as many characters back from Street Fighter II series as possible
* The story takes place between Street Fighter II Turbo and Street Fighter III
* The battle system will be more aggressive and focus more on attacking instead of defending
* A decision has not been made which platform the game will be on, the test version was build on PC
* Yoshinori Ono assumes the most suitable platforms to be PS2 or NDS
* Capcom is interested to bring the game to as many platforms as possible, no platform exclusivity
...
* The game will use toon-shaded graphics like in Street Fighter II
Eh?
* The battle system will be more aggressive and focus more on attacking instead of defending
Most fighting games do focus on attacking, I presumed.
* Yoshinori Ono assumes the most suitable platforms to be PS2 or NDS
WTF!? Surely if it's on either of those consoles, it will look NOTHING like these screens

Hopefully this "information" is just really badly translated

Ken looks fugly doing a Tatsumaki, but these are still early shots so the final graphics will probably get improved by the time the game gets released. I just hope this game doesn't turn out to be another SF EX games because those were really boring to play. I'm more hyped for Basara X (Cross) then this game.
You can't remove turtling from a fighting game but you can reduce how effective it is. I can't see them removing turtling from Street Fighter at all. None of the previous SF games were successful in removing Turtling despite the new features they implemented to encourage more offensive playing. Also, while I understand the reasoning for turtling a match I don't see how people can enjoy playing that way.The Robo D Monkey wrote:Maybe they've just gone insane.
It's a shame they're going to take turtling away from the series. It's so fun to use it to piss off people that think they're good at the game..
Also, those screens look exactly like Street Fight 2 did. Not the slightest change.
