Final Fantasy to Streetfighter, Suikoden to Katamari Damacy, use this forum to talk about *GASP* videogames! The latest releases, your favourites, or ask for help.
Killzone levels are 2Gigs each. Their devs say their game would be impossible to make on the 360. Same goes with Heavenly Sword, that uses 11 gigs of audio.
Lost Odyssey, a deriviative JRPG on the 360 that no one will play, spans 4 DVDs. Obviously this game needed blu-ray, but they were stuck using last gen tech and had to do this.
Pretty sad that some people question debate the necessity of the ps3's Blu-Ray drive.
Somewhat on topic, I’m really curious to see what happens with Mass Effect. From the sound of all the details being released for the game it sounds almost overwhelmingly expansive, I’m very curious to see if Bioware will be able to fit it all on one disc.

You mean PS2 and PSP? That's true, but the clock's running out on them.

I'm not even sure if such a game can come out on DVD. They'll probably can it at the last minute.
Mass Effect is going to be amazing. I dunno if it'll be on 1 DVD, but the fuck I care. As long as it's good, which it will be, it doesn't matter. Bioware has never made a game that hasn't been worth a purchase.

Yes, because the 360 doesn't seem to need Blu-Ray at all. We'll just cram any good game the system has on multiple DVD's! This is going to bite the 360 in the ass when the PS3 starts picking up momentum.
On another note I really appreciate the fact that Lost Odyssey will sport both language tracks and I hope more companies decide to do the same thing. I don't think the PS3 will have any storage capacity issues so I don't see any issues with including multiple language tracks.

U show them! Multiple DVDs are unnacceptable and should not be endorsed by anyone. It is not a solution, it's a problem!
A multi-disc game is not a problem but it all depends on how many discs there are. Anything over 4 DVD's is a step back. Would you consider a 10 DVD game acceptable? I sure as hell wouldn't. It's not too big of a deal now but when PS3 goes into full swing with it's far more superior looking games the X360 is going to have to do a lot more than what it's doing now to compete. Their strategy worked really well for them in the short term but as time progress I think the PS3 will be able to overtake them because they are delivering true next gen gaming.
The RDM still doesn't give a shit about disk swapping. It's not optimal, but it wouldn't affect his decision to purchase a game. Taking 4 seconds to swap a disk is negligable.

But it ruins the idea of the controllers being wireless.
What's the point of this simulated "freedom" when you keep having to go back to the console to swap disks in and out?
