Games you are buying!

Post by Jeff 2G6 »

So August and September seem to be the months where the best games of the year come out for the most part. So I want to know what you scrubs are getting before or as soon as the school year starts. Here's my list:

Getting good reviews, so maybe I'll dl first then see if i'll buy it.

Tried to find a good DS game so I can have 1 bought for every system, but doesn't seem to be any, so I'll probably jsut buy this:

Like I always say, no time like now to fail college.

Lair (PS3)
Everybody's Shooter (PS3)
Uncharted (PS3)
GT5 Prologue (PS3)
Uncharted (PS3)
Ratchet & Clank (PS3)

And if you must get a DS game, I would suggest Zelda DS instead of that sonic game.

Hmm... I didn't really have anything on my to-buy list, but I'd say Wild Arms 5 and Sonic Rush 2 would be on it now.

Persona 3, maybe Warhawk if it's good.

Warhawk is going to suck.

Persona 3
Bioshock
Mass Effect
Growlanser V
Wild Arms 5
Lost Odyssey
Blue Dragon

That's really it, although I could just take Persona 3 and Bioshock and call it a day.

A DS.

And some games for it.

What games?

That remains to be decided.

Kind of depends on the amount of money available.

It has an English option so its exactly the same as getting the US or EU version.

There are still games from last year that I wanted to buy and haven't. I'm not sure if I even remember them all anymore.

Katamari Damacy, although that ould be misleading because it wasn't when it first came out.

I've been playing the American version of [google]Rune Factory[/google].
Standard [google]Harvest Moon[/google] affair, only with more characters, less farming, and some dungeons and fighting (which so far isn't very involving).
EXP HP/MP and all that you'd expect in an RPG is there, and you can level up your various skills (farming/fighting/fishing) by repeatedly using them.
It's enjoyable though, just nothing new and special.

The translation is horrible (pretty much what we've come to expect). Typos and spelling mistakes/ bad grammar all over the place.
Also, the first item you get is called a cheap hoe, and I'm not even sure they were intending to make a funny there :l

Other than that, I've dabbled with [google]Heroes of Mana[/google], and that's wank.
Tedious gameplay, rubbish graphics, and boring characters.
Hold out for [google]Revenant Wings[/google], sooooo much more enjoyable, even in Moonspeak.

Interesting. yeah I had a feeling it could go either way with this more traditional RPG lvling up system. But then again a lot of things in Harvest Moon isn't very involving, sometimes I don't even know why I am so obsessed with the franchise.

They do keep bringing out the same game again and again.
At least they've tried a little twist to it this time.

Poor Heroes.

The RDM's pretty sure he hasn't bought a game this year.

But that's going to change next month. Game purchasing spree ftw.
