The only real thing I can remember is Plaz always having the same avatar ever, and Neptune having a Moogle for ages.

Neptune will not be making an appearance

mainly because I dont know who the fuck Neptune is
doesnt even trigger the faintest memory.

As for character design

I meant the outright art for the characters as shown in a face graphic and on their character/body/battle sprite

unlike qmark's rp where he ripped the picture of pikachu for rekkimaru and vash?? for biz I will be manually creating the facegraphic illustrations

And...I think that's what I was referring to on Face Graphic and Character/Body/Battle sprite. You can make them all at charas-project.
I just tweak them a bit in paint to make it look like I made it...

I don't usually keep them for long anyway. I've never invested any serious effort into a game. I usually get bored, or something goes wrong and I'll stick on a ROM or something and forget about it.

Well, Neptune must have been around during my absence, so I dont know him.

I dont want to tweak any faces.

In fact, anytime I take even the slightest shortcut it pisses me off.

Now if it was a shortcut that produced the exact same results that'd be fine, but if it was a shortcut that produced slightly less than a manually done result will give me, I just cant accept that. It eats at me until I remedy the problem.

Charas Project has some odd flaws (like pants floating a pixel too high), and is not recommended for OCD's.
And if you think graphics are fun, just wait until you start coding intricate events and all of the move commands go insane.

Keep in mind that "having Qmark code a bunch of events" is a perfectly acceptable shortcut. The major problem I've had with the mess-that-is is an obvious lack of artistic direction, hence the grossly random everything. However, once the hurdle of "I want to do this crazy dumbass thing" is figured out, the coding of that crazy dumbass thing is a snap.

My god, that would be a dream project: Someone else knowing what to do, with me doing the underlying event scripting. Yeah, that would be great.

I'm more worried about getting the art pieces for cutscenes and other things to display correctly.

EDIT: and speaking oh being a crazy bastard, it's getting in the way of me getting anything done at the moment. These meds suck. I need to be on 4x the dosage, maybe more, but the new psychiatrist I guess HAS to start me out low and then let it fail.

The plot will be fine without it.

EDIT: The game has hit a bit of a snag because of my new meds though
They're having the opposite of the desired effect.

I was deep in a good manic phase when I began you'd practically have to drag me away fromt he comp to get me to stop working. So I've got a lot done from that first week or so.

Then I got the meds which kinda tranqed me and made me useless.

If the dosage was right they'd help me a ton, make me close to a normal person's active amount, but theyre not the correct dose. they have to start me on a lower dose first and see how I take it and then I'd report back to the doctor on my next visit.

unfortunately my doctor just had some kind of family emergency and wont be back for the entirety of July

and so I'll just work when I can. Whenever I randomly have enough energy to do it.
