If we have to pretend to be couples then it might be an idea to bring along Stel's Mum, get her involved in this. I reckon she can couple with at least three people - 'couple' used loosely.

As for me, I will probably go for just the one week if and when I can get the time off work. If the booking is soon then let me know. I'm finally working for real from 19th so my holidays can be discussed then.

The second place is out, got an email back saying it's booked up. They also said there's a coastal bus that runs along near Moraira though, so public transport seems OK.

Are we there yet?

So if we are in general agreement of where we are going and dates etc. should we book up? It appears a deposit of £100 is all thats required for now, if some1 wants to sort out details with me I'll happily pay that up front just to get things moving along and ppl can get to sorting out flights etc. Im just gonna need to know what we'll be telling these ppl...

Also keep in mind we havnt confirmed travel to and from the airport to this place... keep in mind that buses could possibly not be as straight forward as last year but tbh I cant see there being any real problems :]

The woman's gonna be on holiday for the next two weeks, but I'll let her know we're definite now and to expect an email from Andy since he's gonna arrange payment. I'll sound as adult as I can

And we can get taxis to/from airport. If me and Batesy, and two guys go in the first taxi to pick up the keys, they should stop asking questions from there as regards the whole couple thing

Just got an email back:

Dear Joanne

Thank you for your Email.
There will be someone hear to receive your letter and deposit,

If you send £100.00 deposit to secure your booking. to

(address here but I won't post it)

Then the balance 10 weeks before your departure.. £2,670.00
And cleaner paid separately in Spain Euros 160 (2 weeks clean)

I will write and confirm as soon as i get back, that iv received your deposit, and i will pencil you in arriving on Saturday 1st July and leaving on Saturday 15th July.

I'll give Andy the address. Everyone's fine with this one then, just to triple check, yeah?

Edit: So the cleaning works out about a tenner each. Not too bad really.

I have no idea if and where I'll be working or if I'll be allowed time off but the way I do things is to jump first and worry after or nevAer so all should be good if I just pay up asap

I think lime will be dealing with the money part.

these prices include the fact that lap is only there for one week. adisy might still be comeing but thats yet to be seen.

lap = 148.50

us = 291.28

This also includes the £200 Deposit for damages so we all get £20 back at the end of the holiday if nothing gets badly broken! (chairs not included!

)

From research so far it looks like flying from London is the cheapest option since easyjet fly to Alicante from there, whereas they do not from Bournemouth or Southampton. With travel insurance and taxes it comes to £122. Thats flying out from Stansted and flying back to Luton. Strange but it works out. Bournemouth's looking at more like £170 :[

Easyjet isn't necessarily the cheapest option though, you guys should check this site to find out all the budget airlines that fly to Alicante.

It is, but only because you've forgotten about the £100 deposit ;p

Using my l337 skillZ (my maths: is very good), you have 19 people-weeks, and so the prices should be:

* Lap: £165.79 (including the £20 damages deposit)
* Everyone else: £311.58 (including the £20 damages deposit each)

If someone becomes Lap for week 2, then it becomes 20 people-weeks, and:
* Lap & A. N. Other: £153.50 (including the £10 damages deposit each)
* Everyone else: £307.00 (including the £20 damages deposit each)

That'll be 10p in Accountant's fees, plz.

Oh yeah. It's airberlin from Stanstead to Alicante - £95 return but that is flying out on Wednesday 5th and flying back on Thursday 13th. And there's no way you can get rid of me!!!
