108 players in your party at a time
Just watched the trailer
<3 the Beavers
Hope they have a nice village.
I like how you can tell what stars most of the characters will be, just by looking at the quick flashes of character art.

Suikoden I + II for psp is Japan only. Force Konami to release it here or in PAL land.

Someone involved in Suikoden IV saying the next one will have the deepest storyline fails to impress. Unless he admits that Suikoden IV has the most shallow story of them all, it means nothing.

He said that Suikoden IV was the one they wanted to work on, because the story and characters were weak. That's why they made Rhapsodia (Suikoden Tactics).

I saw the Rhapsodia bonus OST on a torrent site the other day.
Any of it any good?
Actually, no Suikoden music is really standout

Are you kidding me? It's really too much to say there there is NO standout Suikoden music.
Personally, I enjoyed the opening themes for Suikoden II and III.

Wow, haven't seen you on SG for like 5 years
And I like Suikoden II opening theme as well...
But to me the best Suikoden musics are the remixes on Orrizonte (or whatever that CD was called, too lazy to check
)

You've got an outrageously good memory if you remember me after all this time. I actually happened to re-stumble onto SG recently. I migrated to Squarepedia ages ago and when that site died I never returned to SG. In any case, yeah the remix CD is Orrizonte, which is also pretty good too.

Looks good!
I like how at the end of every console gen, we seem to get games that finally really take advantage of the system's capabilities. It especially shows in the textures and shading of 3D models. And the overall world looking more full of details.

New trailer:
http://www.konami.jp/gs/game/genso/V/mo ... tentou.wmv
ommmmg @ the unite attacks
The duel animation looks great.
The war system looks like a mix of Suikoden II and III. This is excellent. You go Konami! Late Xmas present indeed!

Well Suikoden Tactics came out a month after Japanese release, and IV was ready for release 3 months after Japanese release (but they delayed it because it was a heavy hitter month with stuff like Halo 2).

I've seen enough of Suikoden Tactics' dialogue. Please don't present that as a shining counterexample against my concerns.

Anyway, Suiko 2's translation was ass and that didn't stop it from being good.

I really don't think so. There were some problems here and there, but all in all there was decent dialogue throughout. It wasn't anything like the shit we have in Suikoden IV or Suikoden Tactics. Granted, I believe that this has more to do with the dialogue also being shit in Japanese, but there's certainly no comparison to be made here.
