Final Fantasy to Streetfighter, Suikoden to Katamari Damacy, use this forum to talk about *GASP* videogames! The latest releases, your favourites, or ask for help.
well, he was not opposed to we <3 katamari. He was opposed to the original sequel, which was basically Katamari in Xmas town. Then he got involved and made it better. I figure that after two sequels he didn't want, but yet made relunctantly, he got his point accross. Good thing they stopped before it was too late.
omg that's what katamari DS would've been! But the PSP gets it! I'm picking this up alongside Oblivion this week. !
You can keep trolling DS, but you know damn well that it's starting to get kickass games.
I'm not denying it. I even said that if I used portables like I did a couple of years back, I would probably get a DS Lite. That being said, I also acknowledge that two screens are fucking stupid and that the touch screen isn't that interesting.
But then again, I'm not denying that the psp doesn't have great games either.
Too bad my fingers hurt after playing for an hour. Awesome game, though. It's a perfect on the go game. I'm sad that we won't get any more Katamari games because it's so much fun, but *shrugs* All good things must come to an end, non? It's the bad things that just won't go away. Like Uwe Boll...

There's the retro feel then there's it actually being an old game... I meant the latter..
When people look back at it and think of how great a game it was and how games were so much better back then, Namcock will see the $$$s and bring it back for yet another last roll.
Didn't I see Sajuta on wandering flame make a comment about the maker of Katamari kind of being a well known douchebag and a kind of hater of games in general and Katamari was just kind of a fluke success to begin with?
Well I decided to try and see what I could find on the subject
Though there's no conrete evidence of him actually being a douchebag. I could see how someone could think that from his comments in interviews
He seemed really uninterested in the gaming world and even said "most games are boring" and well since he planned to leave the industry to go work on playgrounds it doesn't seem like he has a real passion for the work.
You beat Katamari Damacy? I think "We love (heart) Katamari" is the sequel. On the cover of the game it's "We *heart* Katamari" with a heart, but the text says "We Love Katamari"
Do you have the PSP version or do you play it on your computer? I'm really tempted by the PSP one as I spent 4263556 hours commuting to work every week...

I can't imagine playing a music game on a packed tube. What will happen to your arms? :O
Surely I could just be as sad as Tau and play with earphones?
And I've only tried it in 4 buttons mode but yes, it looked hard
Why do I hear the music to Katamari everywhere I go? Seriously, I can't get the main theme song out of my head, no matter what I'm doing. Those frickin' Royal Horns are just so in-your-face, I can't get that damn song out of my head. Also Lonely Rolling Star is killing me, I'm having sex and I can't get it out of my head. AAHGHH Katamari is eating me alive! Must..play....sequel...
Seirously, my GF never plays video games. Yesterday, she stayed up all day playing 10 hrs straight.

They didn't even wait that long before they started dragging it through the mud while Takahashi could do nothing but despair, distance himself and reiterate that he has had nothing to do with the series since the second game.
At least we have NOBY NOBY BOY and WATTAM now.
They did re-release the original game a bit after 10 years later though!
Probably the 50th time I've heard this story but I'll always laugh remembering the day I woke up to find out he'd friend requested me on Facebook (probably because I posted a lot on the NOBY NOBY BOY page). Was "friends" with him on there for a few years and he'd sometimes like and comment on my photos and posts. He's since deleted his Facebook account and even mentioned on Twitter a few weeks back he doesn't use Facebook. A man of honour!
