And what you said can be true, I'm sure a lot of ppl voted for Bush cuz of the gay marriage rights. Well whatever, I'm just surprised that he won the popular votes too. It seems like all the Bush haters just disappeared the day the election starts.
WUT A GRAT DAY
Re: Election Day
Although I knew that it was going to happen somehow. I can't help being dissapointed. I don't understand how people can be so dumb. Terrorism? Iraq? I feel sorry for the people that voted for Bush because of that. Just because a man wants to stop a useless war, people call him a traitor for "nor supporting the troops" bah. Hell, if Farnheit 9/11 is right about the bin ladens, then his latest tape couldn't have come at a better time...instilling false fear into old conservative Americans again. Hmm.. I wonder who was behind that? (sarcasm)

Fahrenheit 9/11 is nothing more than manipulation of data and video footage with Michael Moore overvoice telling people what they should believe in. Here is a sort of report going over most of the stuff on the film. I even remember some things from the film not been true at all (specially the whole Foxnews announcing that Bush won Florida thing). Here is the link to the report, http://www.davekopel.com/Terror/Fiftysi ... it-911.htmfire2ash wrote:Although I knew that it was going to happen somehow. I can't help being dissapointed. Well... they do, don't they. :frankCid wrote:The WF version of this thread is just Bush praise sprinkled with the ocassional "fags suck" from Skull.
I've been preeching secession since Bush stole the 2000 election. California sure as hell doesn't need the rest of the country, though the opposite can't exactly be said.

Re: Election Day
Apparently Moore is somehow worse than the Bush administration, who feeds you and everyone else manipulated data and lies daily while telling you what to believe. Moore makes movies... Bush runs the USA. I know, it's hard to keep up with all of Bush's misinformation because he hasn't condensed into a 2 hour widescreen format, but it shouldn't be that hard to recognize, though apparently it is for a little more than half of America.Last One wrote: Fahrenheit 9/11 is nothing more than manipulation of data and video footage with Michael Moore overvoice telling people what they should believe in.
Yeah, but... this is the wordline where Arnold Schwartzenegger is the governor of California. Surely John Titer isn't from a world that fucked up.

I think every registered vote in California got a copy of the Governator's Voting Guide, speaking of people thinking for you. And as far as I know, most of the propositions went the way Arnold told everyone to make them go.
Re: Election Day
(16) There is a civil war in the United States that starts in 2005. That conflict flares up and down for 10 years. In 2015, Russia launches a nuclear strike against the major cities in the United States (which is the "other side" of the civil war from my perspective), China and Europe. The United States counter attacks. The US cities are destroyed along with the AFE (American Federal Empire)...thus we (in the country) won. The European Union and China were also destroyed. Russia is now our largest trading partner and the Capitol of the US was moved to Omaha Nebraska.
Sometimes I tell myself that even that while the media is the bane of democracy, it sometimes makes it pointless.Patchingko wrote:I think every registered vote in California got a copy of the Governator's Voting Guide, speaking of people thinking for you. Re: Election Day
Not at all dudeman.
I talked to some youngsters that said 'fuck it' to waiting in long lines to vote.
With all the advocation to Vote or Die! I was surprised to hear that so many 18 year olds remained unchanged in their disinterest to get to the polls. I was anticipating an unexpected surge in democratic votes among the youth.

So did the Democrats ;{B wrote:I talked to some youngsters that said 'fuck it' to waiting in long lines to vote.

the irony
this thread is nothing but political angst
i would just like to point out that because someone you personally don't like is now in charge again, democracy MUST be dead! the world is also going to go to hell.
oh, and i almost forgot to mention that Bush is the ONLY person in this country who is a simpleton and everyone else are competent individuals whom are perfectly capable of making rational, well-thought, and informed decisions, yup!

Re: Election Day
It doesn't suppries me that Bush was re-elected. I knew my fellow voters arer brainless morons. but I didn't realize how idiotic they actually were until I learned that most people based their vote on moral issues. Are gay marriage and stem cell research really more important than the war in Iraq, our craptacular economyy, and our stead fall from grace as a nation in the world? Apparently they are, and that scares the shit out of me. Don't blame Bush America, you brought this upon yourself.
My fear now is that W will take his reellection as some kind of confirmation that his policies and leadership have been perfect (as he seems to think) and he wil be even less willing to compromise and listen to others. Four more years of defeicts, bad economic plans, the legislation of morality, and inept peacekeeping efforts. What's the worst that could happen?:E

I'm convinced the slow-moving lines had something to do with it. Some of the more hardcore voters waited upwards of 9 hours to cast their vote. Methinks the US needs to have a few more voting booths in '08.B wrote:I talked to some youngsters that said 'fuck it' to waiting in long lines to vote.

Re: Election Day
The long lines were fucking bullshit. I had to skip class to vote.
Polls should be open all week long! Bring on the possibilities for corruption and inaccuracies

Re: Election Day
Yeah, but those votes are distributed based upon population, although I'm beginning to think that the states are just too different to have common interests as far as presidency goes. All Burned Up wrote: Honestly though, I was playing around with this map on the New York Times website... I had it all worked out so only 13 states were needed to have a person win an election based on electoral votes. This strikes me as stupid, seeing as how 37 states could not vote and we would still have a winner. Time for a revision of the policies me thinks.

Re: Election Day
Thank you, I'll be here all week.
Talk about salt in your wounds.
Me too. The best part was how they fucked up splitting my district, so the lines for the part I lived in were around the corner and down the street, and the people who lived in the other part got to walk up and wait about 30 seconds before getting in. If I lived across the street, I'd have been able to vote and gotten to class early.Son-kun wrote:The long lines were fucking bullshit. I had to skip class to vote.

Here ya go ^^Kakeru wrote:I am now scared to live in this country. I am amazed at how many people pride themselves about our education but are too stupid to look into what's actually going on in the world and fall for the scare tactics that all the "news" stations provide.

Of.
Here.
Re: Election Day
I was always aware of F 9/11's bias and lies, but I am sure there ARE things that are true. Its obvious the whole movie is made to make Bush look bad, he is manipulating media the way the government does, or well the media. It is so easy to make people believe something when they only show half the truth, look what happened during and after 9/11.
I do agree with them changing the alert codes to scare people though, and I somehow feel that Bin Laden's tape last week could not have come at a better time, and guess who people would vote for? Bush.
It is true, people vote for the stupidest reasons. Most people don't know their facts and some of them even seem brainwashed. Bush is seriously a moron, and although I don't really like Kerry, I won't be surprised when some other bullshit will happen and the whole country will have to "support Bush's stupid actions." Terrorism is a little bit overstated and overemphasized, there is no a single speech of George Bush in which he does not mention 9/11 or iraq, and also the words "Steadfast", "resolute" or "God." He's just so fake, oh well.

Virginia is 1000x cooler to live in than Connecticut, though, trust me - I never adjusted to moving from the south =p

A part of me says "FWAH!!! Was that friggin necessary sir???" while the other says "gee, I was expecting more..."A 25-year-old from Georgia who was apparently distraught over President Bush’s re-election shot and killed himself at ground zero.
