Yeah, I couldn't even make out the majority of what was going on when I was watching the raw so I can't even imagine how hard it must have been for the translator.
Seed 3 raw is out but nobody is seeding it.
Re: Ongoing Anime Discussion (now with October 2004)
It looks like someone finally subbed Viewtiful Joe. It's either that or a raw group is just really behind in releasing stuff.

Re: Ongoing Anime Discussion (now with October 2004)
Can anyone confirm it's subbed? I'm a BUSY PERSON, and cannot wait 2 hours for a mere raw!
Re: Ongoing Anime Discussion (now with October 2004)
Wow, I can see why nobody else subbed it now
On the upside, I love the theme song, and it's always fun to watch something that was subbed without a spell-checker.
Now I just need to find the theme song, so that I never have to watch Viewtiful Joe again \o/

What is that bad?
I havn't seen the show myself but I skipped through the raws and I thought it looked quite interesting. The game was really fun so I thought the anime wouldn't be so bad and Tomokazu Seki as Joe is a big
for me.
I really need to download Beck soon.

Does anyone miss the stuff they've seen already?
I mean I really must be the sappiest motherfucker on this forum but I started playing the OST to RoD TV, Scrapped, and Stellvia, and I got stupid depressed.
It's me, isn't it?
Oh GOD, I don't want even think about how much of a moron I'm going to become once KS is over.

~*Hai! Back to Japan!
The artwork is appealing, the animation is nice, the action scenes are awesome, and in my opinion, the only things Viewtiful Joe misses are :What is that bad?
a) Characters with 2 or more dimensions
b) A plot that takes more than 6 words to describe in it's entirey
I tend to take characters and plot over all else. You could pretty much draw an anime entirely with stick figures, and as long as it told an interesting storyline, and created characters I wanted to see interact with each other, then I'd eat it up with a spoon.
Jiewtiful Joe is basicaly the complete opposite of an appealing anime, to me
..But I *DO* like the theme song ^^;

I really would like to see RX, but I'm too poor to rent/buy DVDs.
Changing this sig after 9+ years.
I do a media/pop culture podcast in my spare time! Giv'er a listen here: AKOPcast

Well, It's not so bad for me because I end up purchasing the DVDs in the end so I can rewatch the series I loved so much. I watched the 3rd Volume to ROD TV last Saturday and I'm loving it even more with the dolby digital 5.1 surrond sound.Leftover wrote:Does anyone miss the stuff they've seen already?

Then you'll know how I feel right about now. I'm just glad that the DVDs are being released at a fairly decent rate.Leftover wrote: Oh GOD, I don't want even think about how much of a moron I'm going to become once KS is over.
Oh and I've decided that after I finish KS and this seasons current offerings, I'm going to stop watching anime for a while.
Or at least I'm going to try too. I mean I did it for like three years straight, and then Doom popped up and Scrapped, and Stellvia, and then this forum happened again like three times.

Yeah, I'm liking Genshiken. Thought it was going to be a mediocre series with ugly, cliche art based on pictures but it's turning out pretty good.Doom wrote:Genshiken is awesome and anyone who says otherwise probably deserves to be raped.
And Mai-Hime is my favorite this season by far.

well my number one choice would be LE actually, and PA second. while alot of shows have grown on me, like planetES, those just blew away from first ep. also the bebop movie made a huge impression on me and to this day i consider it one of the best made movies, just because it looks like its handdrawn all the way through and not cg like everything is these days. and with manga 20thcb and I"sLeftover wrote:like?

Re: Ongoing Anime Discussion (now with October 2004)
I saw Genshiken episode 1 with a friend and while it was quite funny I don't think it really is spooge worthy. I find the concept highly amusing but it's pretty much similar to Otaku no Video except done better. The beginning completely threw me off as I was yelling at my friend that he downloaded Kujibikiri Unbalance instead of Genshiken. The choice of voices are big
for me and the ending theme ownz.
to Mai-Hime episode 5.
Finally starting to see character development although nothing great at the moment but we'll see how it turns out later on. Unfortuantely, there's no action in this episode and I didn't get any sword action.

About 3 months late (as usual) and possibly posting in the wrong thread but man, Melody of Oblivion is great. I've had it on my harddrive for a while now but never got around to watching it. Looking out for ep 16 now.

Don't think so. I've seen episodes 16+ summarized on forums in the past.
I would also like to say that the random fanservice, especially during the Melos scenes, is hilarious.
