Okay, the new season has started, so... new page, new season!

I took a gander at Mai Hime, and it's basically a souped up superpower school girl show. That said, the production values are fairly high (very good animation and a Kajiura score that actually seems a little different at times, for once).

I'm downloading something called "Beet the Vandel Buster"... no idea.

We need another big name series like FMA. Gundam Seed Destiny possibly but I don't think Bleach or Yakitate Japan are going to do it. Hopefully some original series this season will wow me.

Depends on the production values of Bleach. If the animation quality stays high, I think it could be pretty damn good.

Big :check to My-hime.
Definitely a lot better than what I was expecting and little girls who wield giant ass swords=:E x10000000000. The music reminds of Kajira's works on Aquarian Age, which is a good thing. So far I can recognize two of the characters voices. The main female lead is played by Midori in Midori no Hibi/May Wong in Kaleido Star and the male leadi sp layed by Tomokazu Seki.

Mai Hime is another well-done B anime, basically.

The chick with the sword is Azmaria from CC and the one with the guns is Akari from Konomini... I think.

I knew the otehr two girls sounded familiar but I just couldn't remember a previous role they did. I absolutely love the way the little girl wields the giant sword and it's a very fitting fighting style.

I finished Melody of Oblivion yesterday and it was somewhat dissapointing. It was a lot better than most Gainax endings like Mahoromatic and Kono Minikuku mo Utsukushii Sekai but it left way too many loose ends unresolved. The final episode itself was very well doen with plenty of dramatic action sequences and the climax of that episode was spectacular but the aftermath needed a lot more. Overall, it's an amazing series but the ending could have been executed a lot better. An extra two more episodes wouldn't have changed much and I felt that Gainax didn't fully utilize all of the episodes that were given to them.

Any chance for a s2? :<

Okay, don't watch Kakyuusei/Kakyuusei 2. Kakyuusei 2 is the one for this season (which, I guess, prompted Faith to pick up the original) but they're both insanely boring, 2 even more so than the original (they're both hgame shows, in case you're wondering).

Uta-Kuta impressions after I get back from class.

There are enough loose ends to make a second season, however, the possibilities of that happening are very slim. With the way the ending was it doesn't seem likely that Gainax has any plans for a second season.

Currently downloading something called Kannazuki no Miko. It looks like it has potential but chances are this is going to be a subpar anime.

Okay I didn't really pay attention to Uta-Kata... was doing other stuff. It's basically a mahou shoujo show... I don't feel one way or another towards it, but I'll rewatch it, maybe later tonight or tomorrow.

Someone needs to sub Viewtiful Joe. :p

New To Heart series gets an :x from me.
I really hate the character designer for this season because all of the characters look like crap in comparison to the first season. On the plus side they managed to bring back all of the original voice actors/actresses.

Kannazuki no Miko doesn't look that great. I've briefly skipped through the raw and it looked pretty bad, in my opinion. Obviously, I'm going to need to watch before I can make that kind of call.

Okay... Gankutsuoh... flat out THE most insane coloring I've ever seen. Visuals and sound are off the wall (including OP/ED). The story is retold (typical Gonzo) via the viewpoint of Albert, not Dantes. I have to admit that Monte Cristo looks like Kambei in Samurai 7... anyway, he's played by the VA for Folken in Esca, and a girl shows up who is voiced by May/Mai/Maia/Midori/Miu/Prier/Mina (she seems to be everywhere these days).

If you care about style and/or artwork AT ALL you will watch this.

I really love the sudden change from Asuran in the commercial break with Rakusu to Kira :E

I'm so deprived of anime (thanks to my OS hating Bittorrent), that I'm watching *VHS* fansubs of 'Touch' - an entirely character-driven anime from 1985, which raises interesting questions regarding the way society pre-defines the way we interact with people, and explores the notion that love encompasses more pain than joy.

:cry

I want big mechas and ninjas that fight each other :(

A shit load of raws came out in such a short time and I've been clearing off harddrive to find some room to download all of this stuff. Currently downloading Top no Nerae2(Gunbuster 2), Tactics, VJ, and a 4289023478903280 other things right now. @_@

I still have to leave room for Gundam Seed Destiny, which should be airing this saturday. Not to mention that Beyond the Clouds is finally going to air even though the promo for it was released like a year ago.

The new season or the previous one? I was collecting the previous one but due to harddrive limitations and ended up missing a few episodes but the last story arc wasn't that interesting. I'll probably collect the new season since I love animes that require strategies.

Yes, I play Initial D, but not enough :{

I have Yugioh too, It's surprisingly shallow, and several steps back from the previous episode.

I want Gunbuster 2 so badly >_<

I only heard about it when I was looking through raws, to get Yugioh. Does anyone know if it's a re-make or a sequal? All I could find out about it is that Hideko Anno has nothing to do with it \o/

Well of course it's obviously a lot better uncensored. I'm rather noncommital if only because the pacing problems obviously don't disappear completely... but I mean, it's worth putting off for a rainy day. ;)

What is this show exactly about? From the title it sounded like a fighting anime of some sort so I was quite interested in downloading it but if it's something else then I'll hold off on it.

It's not about fighting at all... it's about a ditzy girl who likes this guy and how she can't confess to him properly, and also about this punk who, for some reason, likes this ditzy girl and can't confess to her properly (at least the first episode was like this). It's rather funny. :)

You think with a title like that there would be some fighting. Now I'm quite dissapointed and I'll have to find another show to get my fighitng needs but I don't think I'll find another show that will live up to Air Master's fights. Maybe I should download Samurai Gun.

Just grabbed Otogizoushi episode 14 and all at the moment I'm completely confused on what the story is about. Episode 14 seems to change the whole dynamic of the show. I know that Otogizoushi is based off a collection of short stories so it's possible that episode 14 could be a brand new story that just uses the characters in the previous storyline but in a new world. Episode 14 also changes the opening and ending theme and both are quite good. The opening animation is really good but reminds me of the opening in the Cowboy Bebop movie. Basically, it's the characters lip synching to the song but the animation doesn't suck so it looks good.
